Mattea ~ Pinwheel Pages

I finally added pictures to the pages I created during Liz Kartchner's "Pinwheels, Petals & Pearls" class at ScrapFest 2011.  I modified the layouts a little bit and I absolutely love them.  I am hooked on pinwheels.  The only bad thing with having them on my page is that Mattea wants to spin them!  : )

Mattea ~ I Love You!

This is a page I created in a Basic Grey class during ScrapFest 2010.  I modified the design a little bit... I just can't help it.  I love the ideas I get in the classes, but I feel the need to add my own touches.  This is one of my favorite pictures of my beautiful baby girl, Mattea.

Josh ~ Happy 8th Birthday!

Josh's 8th birthday was a fun celebration.  It was nice to be able to spend time with our family in Iowa.

Summer Fun!

I found an easy way to document a summer full of fun on one layout!  I created one 4x6 collage print for each month and wrote some journaling to describe all of the wonderful things we did, places we visited and people we spent time with.  As Mattea would say "easy peasy lemon squeezy!".

ScrapFest 2011

I just got back from ScrapFest 2011 at the Mall of America in Minnesota.  What a trip!  I took a couple classes, learned some new techniques and hopefully got my scrappin' mojo back.  I haven't been a frequent visitor to my own scrap room and that needs to change!!!  Once I put away all of my goodies from the trip and organize my space a little better, I am going to try doing a better job of scrapping more often.  It's therapeutic, a stress reliever and it just makes me happy.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention.  I got to meet Liz Kartchner (Dear Lizzy) and Amy Tangerine (American Crafts designer) at ScrapFest.  I took Liz's class and learned how to make pinwheels... SO cute... I'm addicted.  She was a fun instructor and even pulled my name for a prize at the end of class!  WOO to the HOO!!!  Amy Tan was helping out with Liz's class and was nice enough to show me the mini book she was putting together about ScrapFest.  After seeing hers, I totally had to buy one.  You'll want one, too, after you see them.  You can check out a video here.  Liz and Amy were both so charming and friendly.  I also saw Kelly Purkey (American Crafts/Studio Calico) and Becky Higgins (Project Life extraordinaire) for the second time in my life and I was just as enchanted as the first time I met them.  Kelly was demonstrating the Mister Huey's Color Mists... what a cool product with so many different uses!  Kelly also gave me a peek into her mini book which was just as cute as Amy's.  While I was chatting with Becky, I told her that I brought my 2010 Project Life album with me to get caught up.  She instantly whipped out her iPhone and asked me to do a quick video.  If I end up on Becky Higgins' blog, I just might PASS OUT!!!  (Update... I DID end up on Becky's blog!  O-M-G!  Check this out!

Anyway, the weekend with my BFF, Denise, was so memorable and I'm glad to be reunited with my scrappin' mojo once again.  Here's to many fabulous layouts in the VERY near future!!!!

Mattea ~ The Princess Turns 3!!!

Yes, I am behind on my scrapbooking. I haven't done the layouts for when Mattea was born or her 1st birthday, but here is her 3rd birthday layout (yes, i know she is 6 already)! There is no method to my madness!!! I found these cute princess rub-ons, flair and paper at Archiver's and I knew they would be perfect for this page. Love, love, love them! Here it is... feel free to click on the picture for a better view:

Josh ~ Play Ball!!!

PageMaps is having a contest based on a sketch from their website. I used their sketch to create a layout for Josh's baseball picture from last summer. Hope you like it!!!

Here's the sketch:
